I thought i had everything wired correctly, but apparently not, i haven't had the chance to look at everything but let me double check on a few things.

1. In car audio(or audio in general) when given red and black red is always positive and black is always negative, correct?

2. Could i have blown a fuse from wiring my sub backwards? Or does it have to be my power/ ground wire?

#1 not always but most of the time yes

#2 which fuse is it? The one on the amp? A min fuse on the actual car? or an inline fuse?

Does it blow as soon as you hook it up or when you turn something on or when you music is on and past a certian level?

should have been more informative sry.

it was the inline fuse, i actually dont see any fuses on my amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif it blows as soon as it makes contact with both ends

i guess you might wanna rewire that sub then
que? wiring a sub wrong will not cause the fuse to blow. It might cause an amp to turn off/ go into protect if the sub's impedance is too low for the amp to handle.

re route or trace all ur wire back to the battery, u have a grommet in the firewall?
its actually not going through the firewall.

goes through the engine bay then under next to the chassis(maybe something is touching there) then up through a small hole behind my seat.
