Question on Amplifier

Hey guys I have a question on some amplifiers for 2 of my subs. What would best suit 2 JL Audio W3V2D4's? I want to run anywhere between 75-90% of what the woofer is capable of. I'd like to stay with any JL Audio Amp if possible Thanks

Just about your only bet is a 500/1 or the A1800...why stick with JL..you can get much better equipment for less cash.

They are 12" . I like to stick with JL's because thats just a personal preference of mine.

Ok now my next question is with this 500/1 and I have looked at it before. I've read somewhere and I'll see if I can find it about the 500/1 being a D class that it is, isnt really the best amp to use as the site suggested to stick with A/B class. True/ False: Opinions?

Well to say that its true or not cancels each other out. What would be something thats just as good and/or better for less?

Easy.

Pheonix Gold Xenon 600.1, can be had for around 250 while the 500/1 will be somewhat more.

Both have a regulated power supply. The xenon is underrated while the JL will put out pretty much what it is rated for.

i would agree that there are amps out there that are as good as the jl amps for less money (like the xenon you mentioned). however, I would strongly disagree with the comment you made which was:

much better and as good are completely different things.

also, being "good" is not only about performance. It is also about cosmetics, build quality and customer service. If people bought amps solely based on performance, highend amp companies would be out of business

Dont get me wrong I am set on JL Amps. Was just curious as to see what others suggest... more info from others I can see it being a good way and bad.
