question on active and midbass

Going active requires 4 channels of amplification,which you have,but my friend you don't have the processing such as a active capable HU or external processing or even an active capable 4 channel.

4 channels of amplification is the minimum. for a 2-way front stage.

he has a 2 way comp set so why would i need to tell him he needs 6 channels for a 3 way and so forth

Sundown 100.4 is perfect active amp. Or just get the Memphis x-over, it's pretty nice, my buddy uses one.

Because people who don't know, and there are a lot of people who don't know jack about running active, would think that 4 channels is all you'll need to go active, which would be misleading.
