ok guys, forgive me for posting about deadening in the first place, but i did not see my question answered in past threads...so here it is:
i have a car where the door panels are pretty much enclosures of themselves....the insides of the doors appear to be somewhat airtight. i have a 6.5 mid in there right now and i am expecting my deading in the mail tomorrow....my question is, will deadening just the one side of the door panel (the in-side) be satisfactory (prime). i tried opening the door up, but it cant be done without taking apart the window assembly....what if i took out the speaker and basiclly made a basket-like shape outta the deadener and put it behind the speaker? i was real set on getting the INSIDE of the doors done because you would be very surprised how loud my midbass is from outside the car, much louder than average... (simply because the very oputside of the door is thin and is also not far fropmt he speaker at all)...now i coul djust put the deadener on the interior side of the door....but from what i understand of how deadener works and all this wont be nearly as effective as putting it inside......any advice will be greatly appreciated,,,,,as well as feedback on personal experiences...
thanks
