Is that a good JL amp?? its not "THE" 1000/1 but it is a 1000/1 at 2 ohms. will it do the job? I know you're wondering what sobs its goin on but I havent decided yet. but for reference I may be gettin 3 assassin 12s.

as long as whatever subs you get wire to a final 2ohm load your good...

...Why not spend the near $400 on another amp that might get you more power?

JL is overprized and overrated"as far as the hype goes". they that is a good amp but more can be had at that price that are better.

JL being over rated is news to me. I'd agree with the prize part though.

I have been around JL a long time. The regular 1000/1 and 500/1 have a different circuit board than the e class amps. I don't think the e's are worth the money. With them you are pretty much paying for the name.....Put this is just my 2 cents.

yes its a kick *** amp. you get what you pay for and more. i would recomend it over anything else in the price range.

thank you guys for those answers of it being a good amp. cause I didn't ask if it was overrated. I asked if it would be good to power 3 12" assassins. It's not like I asked will it power 4 W7s or anything... again, thanks for the "ACTUAL" answers I was looking for

Yea, when JL is mentioned here there is a core group that believe they are overrated & overpriced, then they'll go on this JL bashing binge, and overlook the fact that they are excellent amps, while also overlooking the posters question.

BTW: you should be able to get that amp for $100 less because that line has been replaced with the A-line.
