Right now I got about 1000wrms going to it...my amp is 1100wrms, you think it would be ok to turn my gain up the rest of the way.

By the rest of the way, you mean all the way up? I wouldn't advise it.

Where is your gain sitting at now? How did you set it?

Gain all the way up = never should happen

Gain half way up = should never really happen

Gain below half = always

Gain at 1/4 turn = Good enough for me.

I set it using the formula sqrt of power*resistance. I was told 1000wrms for my sub and it is wired to 1 ohm. My amp is 1 ohm stable at 1100wrms.
