Ok, so my subs keep cutting out. I thought it was the battery so I went and got a new one today. Was working fine for a bit till about 20 mins ago I turn on interior light for like 30 seconds subs start cutting out. It will come in and out. I havent had time to check power wire from battery in fron to battery in back. but imassuming it is fne because I have a fuse within 18" from both batteries. If my alt was being a POS would it do this? If i go to advanced, napa ect they can test my alt??

I am running 4 mtx 12"s two JL 500.1 with a battery in the trunk. any ideas?

good idea, I plan on checking all of my wiring in the morning. to dark right now. any other ideas? I could go out and just see if the light for my amp is turning on and off then id know if it was the remote i will do that in a minuet.

well, just checked was working fine for about a minuet then started cutting out again. the lights on the amps were not shutting off or anything so im guessing my remote is fine? anyone?

actually that might be it i will have to check that out because i didnt have anymore terminals so i electrical tapped it to the jack..any one else have any ideas what it might be?? is it basically just something with the wiring or could it be not enough volts getting to the amps??

someone else may correct me if i'm wrong but even if the volts are low and the amp is getting some power it will still function, if the alt dies, the battery will power the amp until it's drained, but your car wouldn't run properly and you'd have other problems with other electrical components as well as the car running if that was the problem (i just had that problem as well)... pull a sub out and look inside the box, i bet all the bass has loosened a connection...

but if that was the case why would all four go out?? cause the box is set up 2 per chamber each 2 are running off their own 500.1?
