Question for peeps in college?

only $200 in books? than you either taking less than 12 credit hours or some basic *** classes... i spent over 400 in books alone for winter semister (2 books alone were each over $120)
Last semester my books were $360.... I figure I can get maybe $160 back from them... And then I spend another $200 that would come out to about the same price as last semester.. I am taking 16 hours... Could cost more, I really have no clue.. It will only be my second semester in college.

And my most expensive book last semester was Plant Biology.. Couldn't find a used one so I had to pay $120... What pisses me off is I never even used it except to look at pictures in lab......

My wife and I both get about $2k refunded to us at the beginning of each semester. Hers are grants that she gets and mine is from the military.

If your school sent you a check, it is your refund.

I wish we got ours now instead of the second week of January. I could go get one of these good Christmas deals on TVs I keep seeing.

it depends where the money is coming from. if it's from finantial aid, you have to pay it back. so it's not like free money. unless you are prepared to pay for it, don't take it (you can give it back). otherwise, use it on whatever you want, it's your money.

my advice is to not take it anyway. if you can survive without it, your wallet will be much happier when you graduate.

my freind gets back over 5 grand every semester, and he lives off it, i used to live with him, and every semester wed get goodies for the house (big screen, speakers, ect)...good guy to live with.

I dont think his parent know he gets that though, cause they still give him money too... hes got a good setup...

um finacial aid is people giving you money... like scholarships and grants, you dont have to pay it back usually.

student loans are another story...
