Question concerning pioneer slim subwoofer

Alright,

I am looking at pioneers shallow subs for my truck. It's the 12 inch, and the higher powered one. This is the model number TS-SW1201S2. Now the specs say RMS is 50 -400, and the max is 1500.

I guess my question is this:

I already have an alpine MRD-M300 amplifier rated at 300 RMS at 2 ohms. Will this amp work, or would say an alpine MRP-M500 be a better choice at 500 RMS at 2 ohms.

Keep in mind it doesn't need to be the loudest outcome just the better sounding outcome. This is in a regular cab pickup with stock speakers. The sub will be going into a sealed box as well.

Should work just fine with the amp you already have. 200 extra watts would be marginally louder, but if you already have the other amp....... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ok,

Now I have another question. I see there are multiple companies making shallow mount subs like the pioneers. Are there other companies I should consider over pioneer. I am looking to stay in the same power range, as well as the same price range.
