Question: Can my after-market HU control Nissan's factory changer?

I just purchased a previously owned 2001 Nissan Pathfinder LE. It has a factory AM/FM/Tape deck with a factory in-dash 6 CD changer. The SUV didn't come with an owners manual, so I don't know what Nissan installs at the factory. The HU from my previous vehicle is a Pioneer DEH-P4600MP. I'm wondering if I can replace the AM/FM/Tape deck with my Pioneer HU and use it to control the factory in-dash CD changer. And if so, is some sort of interface adapter needed?

I'll call a Nissan dealership on Monday to find out what kind of changer Nissan installs at the factory.

Thanks for any help! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

There are adapters to make the changer controlable from the deck. Unfortunatly Metra (leading brand of installer parts) doesn't have one for your car. Stop by any car audio place and they will probably either have one or be able to get you one.
