Im getting this:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5525_Kicker+Dual+15-+L7+Combo-+-2-+S15L7+Subs%2C+%2B+-1-+Box+%2B+-2-+L7+Grills.html

as soon as I get my Financial aid leftovers check...its a while, but I wanna go ahead and pick out an amp to pair with it.

My question is about the ohms things..I dont know much about it and like...the .1 or .2...like 2000.1 or 2000.2. What I want is LOTS of SPL, but sure-safe to NOT blow the subs. So, help me out plz?

I was thinking maybe I'll go with a monoblock 2000 watt amp? But Im not sure how the Ohms and stuff would go into this...the choices are 1, 2, or 4. But I dunno which one I should get. So...which should I get to have a easy to set up wiring system that will run 1000watts rms to each subwoofer ?

thats retardedly expensive

buy the subs separate, get a box made for cheap, and then buy an amp that puts out around or somewhat above the RMS rating for the subs u want.

and I would buy an amp that pushes about 2000 rms at 1 ohm, honestly hifonics will be about the cheapest thing u will find for the price, but im not a big fan of them. for 2 l7s to run at 1 ohm they will need to be DVC 4 ohm subs

If you're going to get that sub+box combo, get it wired for 1 ohm and find an amp that will put out 2000w rms at 1 ohm. Or 2 ohms all around. Whatever you can get a better deal on amp-wise.

But yeah, I agree on getting the sub(s) separate and building your own box.

How is it retardedly expensive? The cheapest on ebay for these subs only (without grills) is $230 shipped each. Thats $460 shipped for the subs alone.

http://search.ebay.com/s15l7_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQfromZR40QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ3QQsbrsrtZd

And, the grills gotta run atleast $25 for both. So thats $485, go on and say $500 id say atleast without the box shipped. And a box for these shipped is gonna be atleast 100, which will bring us to $600. And, the box from the deal im getting almost definetly looks better (with kicker logo and all) also it has two seperate chambers.

I have no experince building boxes.

So, for only $100 dollars more I get everything convientlly shipped all together in box ready to go, a better box then I could build or (most likely) buy from ebay, AND a warranty.

So, I wouldnt call this deal "Retardedly expensive"

Unless...of course, if you can find me 2 15" Kicker L7's in a box, shipped for under $699.99. Then, I'll gladly buy this other deal. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif thanks.

Now, can someone actually address the issue I'm concerned with? (I didnt really ask about the price)

Hm..so I should specify with the order 1 ohm, and look for an amp 2000.1 @ 1 ohm stable?

How would the wiring work for this, gotta do anything special?

Thanks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

You never specified your budget on a amp.......

pretty much to make it easy on you man since you are buying the subs already wired down to a load..... tell them u want a 1 ohm load buy a 1 ohm stable amp..... tell them u want a 2 ohm load and buy a 2 ohm amp....
