Im in the middle of a building a birch box and although my cuts are pretty even I can still see a seam. I plan on painting so would like to fill seams with wood filler. Is wood filler ok?

Just use wood glue and if you have to silicone to seal any air leaks
It's more of a cosmetic issue , the glue held well but shrank a bit after it dried so the seams are a bit visible. Since I want to paint I want to have a smooth seamless finish if possible. My concern is will the filler will crack with age and / or vibration.

Hope it doesn't bite me in the *** , I plan on sanding smoothly and then painting and then a couple of layers of polyurethane - hope this works out for me.

My only worry would be it cracking from all the vibration. if you do some coats of polyurethane that should seal it up and you should be good brother

Yes, tonight I add a brace in between the sub holes - I'll upload a pic and yes I'm a bit concerned with cracking too - but like you I also feel like the paint, and poly coats might or hopefully will keep things in tact.

I think your good to go. I just paint my box with truck bed liner. Came out alright

Sanded the wood filler , a hand sander seems so work best since there is more control. Not too bad , seemed to have filled a few low spots.

LOL - mine was a higher end model too - iirc deh-9300. Low mileage too, it was sitting around for year collecting dust.

One or two, they are still subwoofer outs and are mono summed signals from both left and right. Even the 2 RCA subwoofer pre-outs on the 2nd one...

Nothing to add to this, Just wanted to say good luck and that I miss MiniDisc. OH!! Is that a Japanese Radio Tuner or does it get stations in the US?
