It's more of a cosmetic issue , the glue held well but shrank a bit after it dried so the seams are a bit visible. Since I want to paint I want to have a smooth seamless finish if possible. My concern is will the filler will crack with age and / or vibration.Just use wood glue and if you have to silicone to seal any air leaks
Yes, tonight I add a brace in between the sub holes - I'll upload a pic and yes I'm a bit concerned with cracking too - but like you I also feel like the paint, and poly coats might or hopefully will keep things in tact.My only worry would be it cracking from all the vibration. if you do some coats of polyurethane that should seal it up and you should be good brother
