Question about wiring...

Im installing a Kenwood KVT-715DVD in my suv, what i wanted to know is on the brain there is a GROUND wire and a BATTERY wire, can these wires be wired together with the GROUND/BATTERY wire that the headunit screen is using ? or do i have to run the brain wires GROUND/BATTERY/ to a fuse or something ?

THe ground (BLACK) wire coming from my dash to the stereo is GROUND (to chassies correct ?) and not NEGATIVE (from battery) ?

yea that sounds like the best thing to do...run the + from the batt and ground on the chassis....cant get anymore basic that that

I just installed a new alpine deck in my car and i couldnt wire the alpine wires with my stock wires, the deck wouldn't turn on so i had to run the power & ground wire seperate.
