Question about the RE SX12"

On woofersetc and REs site the sub is listed as dual 2/4 ohm. Does that mean it is available in both D2 and D4 ohm. What does Dual 2/4 mean? My reason for this question is that I need an amp to power it.

Can anyone suggest an amp. preferably a kicker. All the other amps are kicker ZX amps and I like to keep everything uniform. Thanks.

yes, its available in dual 2 or dual 4. I'd get a kicker zx1000.1 or zx1500.1 if I were you

^^^ beat me to it. if your running a single sx, get the d2 with some kicker amp that does about 1500 rms to have a little head room.

The one thing that I noticed about most ZX amps is that they arnt listed as 1ohm stable. If I got a D2 SX the wireing options would be 1ohm and 4ohm. which load would the sub be wired to for a ZX 1000.1

well if the ZX 1000.1 is 2 ohms stable, get the d4

if you're not getting the amp from an authorized dealer (voiding the warranty), run the amp at 1ohm. I've run 3 kicker amps that claimed to be only 2ohm stable down to 1ohm and they did just fine. Don't do it if you want the warranty tho
