question about steve meade for steve meade

just saw this.....for my bass amps, i set my gain with the bass knob all the way down. My bass amps are master/slaved so i only do one gain for all 4. I get it sounding the way i like it and then just use the knob for when i want that extra boost in times of need :p
The 3sixty.2 also has a master volume knob for the bass so i can literally cut the bass to almost zero for times when im listening/watching sports with my system or something that doesnt need to have 20,000 watts like talk radio or comedy channel or something. Basicly for normal listening i have it on a normal setting, nice and tame but i have the OPTION to go buck wild with one turn of the knob thats all. Not rocket science, not any different then any other monoblock amp with a bass boost on it i just have a little more control with the 3sixty.2(s) involved.
but if you set the gains with the bass knob all the way down doesn't it clip the signal when you turn it up?

o so as long as the bass knob is at 0 at the gains are set, but not all the way up it won't clip when you turn up the bass boost?

Yup. Thats the difference between the bass boost and gain settings on an amp. Whenever I install a sub amp for a customer, I always set their gain for them and tell them not to touch it. If they want more bass then they can adjust the bass boost.

i use the fader control on my HU to remotely control subwoofer level...

since i don't HAVE rear speakers, i set my gains for max output and use the rear output on my HU for my sub amps, and fade forward until the desired level of output is reached.
