question about setting my crossover.

i got some diamond audio speakers for christmas. there 6 1/2" D661A componets. on the crossover there is a jumper for the tweeter. plus or minus 2DB. the default position is at 0DB, can anyone help me understand what the pros and cons of changing this around and, what it does. the owners manual is 5 pages of actual info. which is very brief. i plan on taking picture of the sound deadning stage tomorow as i will be making a log for everyone to see. thanks for the help and any info.

If you feel that the tweets are too low compared to the mids, you can set it at 2dB

just put my comps in last week and have the same ?, so if i understand correctly this jumper on the + side makes the tweet louder, on the - side it makes them quieter?
