Question about recone..

Wondering has anyone seen or have a reconed konaki 12(using the original basket)I always see people use the motor to make 18s or 15s,but has anyone reconed them with the original basket and does changing the basket has any advantages??Just wondering I'll be getting them reconed at the start of the year..

the reason they change the basket is for the use of better 8" spiders.

i do now have nice spiders that will fit that basket when ur ready to recone...
