question about ps3

Alright well ps3's are around 400 dollars. Blu ray DVD players are around 300 dollars. If ps3's didnt have the blu ray dvd playing capabilities would they be worth as much? Cause im sure many dont even watch blu ray dvd's so if the blu ray dvd portion of the ps3 is more then half the reason of its price your paying alot for nothing! What im getting at is what could be the possible price of a ps3 without the blu ray dvd feature

ps3 games are blu-ray format. Without blu-ray player, you have no PS3.

If it didnt play movies, i would of still bought one.
