question about phoenix gold amps

is the X600.1 and the RSD600.1 pretty much the same amp? because i'm on the verge on buying a X600.1 amp for a 10w7. and i came across a RSD600.1 for dirt cheap. now i know the X600.1 will put about 600 @ 3ohms but i'm getting different views question is @ 3ohm what will the RSD600.1 put out?

The RSD600.1 does 650 @ 2ohm & 400 @ 4ohm, so something around 525 @ 3 ohm would be a good estimate. The difference of 75 watts or so won't be noticeable

The xenon is the overbuilt amplifier, and can do all power down to one ohm at the same rms!!!

The Xenon amps are nice, better than the rsd series, that's for sure.

In a review on the X600.1 it did (can't remember the exact numbers) roughly 617 x 1 @ 4 ohms, 712 x 1 @ 2 ohms, 1 ohm was not tested. So even though it's supposed to be 600 wrms from 1-4 ohms it actually increased output as the impedance lowered.

The RSD might not be as "over built" as the XENON, but there's nothing wrong w/either. Go w/what fits your power requirements best.

thanks for all the input. if there won't be a problem with the rsd series then i would just go with that.it's will be going in a Nissan armada with a ddx6019 headunit and factory bose speakers( will be replaced soon) not trying to beat the block down i just want to have a nice bump. oh and the box is sealed but depending on how everything sounds i may change out to a ported box.

So you spend a bunch of money on a w7 but then you want to cheap out on an amp?

i didn't spend alot on the w7 i'm not trying to go cheap on an amp but i'm not trying to break the bank on an amp that will be worth half if not less than that in about 6-8 months. call it cheap or whatever you want. but i've learned that you do have to empty your wallet on an amp that can do the same as a inexpensive amp. I'm not saying i'm trying to buy a lower end amp but i don't have to go and pay $400 plus dollars to achieve the sound that i want.
