Ok, long story short i rma'ed my rainbow slc 265 tweeters and crossovers because they were making a "shhhhhhhhh" kind of noise and it was consistant between both sides, i have them being sent back that rainbow did not have the same problem, what is wrong with my set up? They're powered by a ed 9.2x. Head unit is the eclipse 3000.

The cd's are all purchased, and the weird thing it doesn't really matter what music is playing on it and at the time i could set +3db -3db -10db or something along those lines on the tweeters and it wouldn't make a difference. Sorry, i dont have a picture of the install //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ask away on install questions and i can answer them for you. The only thing i can really think abou tthat could be causing it is the speaker cable is on the same side as the rca's, could that cause it?

Its highly doubtful. Is it only on the tweeters or is it the mids as well? What kind of vehicle and what are all the components in the car? (any other speakers, amps, subs, deck, processors, whatever is in there)

The mids dont have any problems whatsoever. I have a sundown 1000 amp, fi q 15. wiring is 0 guage stinger wire to a distro block, 4 gauge to both amps, 4 gauge on the ground, less than 2 feet from both amps. Im using 40 dollar monster rca cables. Speakers are wired with 16 gauge kicker speaker wire.

EDIT: Vehicle is a jeep grand cherokee 99, all the original infinity system parts have been removed including the amp and wiring.

What i'll do is take the speaker wire and run it on another side, i have a good 4 days before the tweeters+crossovers get here so i can finally test them again. Could it be my deck that is the problem here?

The noise is always there but my music has to be playing, having the deck on with nothing going doesn't do it, and its pretty faint, my friends couldn't hear it till i pointed it out, It doesnt get louder when i press the gas pedal. But it does get louder as i turn the volume up. I'll reground the head unit, Im also going to Reground my amps, any other recommendations?

Try those first. Also check the rcas to make sure they are running as far as possible away from any car electronics (hvac controls, ecu, etc). Monsters should probably not have this problem but you never know.

When i had the speakers it would do that noise on low gain or high gain. I did notice one thing, Is the eclipse head unit Supposed to blink? It blinks on the outside buttons. It doesn't do this in a pattern, just does it randomly. The unit stays on, doesn't skip or anything when playing music, the buttons just blink for a second and come back on lol.

what's a line driver?
obviously not //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

do you have any other speakers you can plug into the existing setup to see if it is actually the speakers?

I would recommend trying to get a different amp, HU, to check and see if changing one unit affects the static sound.
