question about mounting hole cutting

I found an unused walmart 50 dollar gift card i got last year, and am in need of whatever tool to cut the holes for sub/speaker mounting.

whats something cheap that will cut the holes pretty good?

jig saw works fins if ur not tryignt o do a flushmount, but if u want perfect cirles then a plunge router and either buya jasper jib or make ur own

wait how does a jig saw start cutting the circle without starting from the side of the board and coming to the circle thats drawn out? Do i have to drill a wide hole inside of the circle before going into it with the jigsaw?

Dont use a Roto Zip, they are crap for MDF. I burned through 6 bits cutting holes for 2 15's. They also like to try and jump out of your hand and mangle you to death....and your circle....

And yes, you need to drill a hole to use a jig saw...

just drill a hole big enough for the jig saw to fit into and start cutting
