question about fiberglass work

making my own door pods, got 1 all glassed up, 3 layers of fiberglass plus the layer of fleece, almost a quart of resin on 1 door pod, its solid. But its not perfect, obviously its got its bumps and uneven spots, it was only my 2nd fiberglass job.

question is... do you sand the fiberglass before the bodyfiller... or just slap the body filler on and sand that? I'm just afraid of removing some of the fiberglass that is there, seems counter-productive.

sand a little bit to get it a little smoother then all body filler. You would be fine just doing body filler though.
well i don't have a picture of it with the 3 layers of glass... the pic is just fleece, i just wanted to give everyone an idea... its pretty lumpy in some places... ill sand it down to at least someone even before body filler
