Question about distribution blocks...

So you might be looking for just a 4g T-block? Or do you need a fused block? You can get a 1/0g-->4g block and just run 4g into it, that'll work just fine. In fact, many blocks have a round insert that allows you to convert a 1/0g opening to a 4g opening.

Here's one like that:

This 4-gang one allows you to see the small circular inserts that will convert the 4g outputs to 8g outputs... it's the same for 1/0-4g.

No fused outputs on those. Here's a fused one:

Hope that helps.

I already have a 4 ga kit with extra wire and I wanted to be able to just buy a second 4 gauge kit to hook up my second amp. I didn't want to buy a 1/0 kit and a second 4 ga kit.

If I used a fused block, do I need to add in-line fuses from the block to the amps? Or does the fused block do that for you? Basically what I am wanting is to use what I have at my house now and not have to spend a lot of money buying a 0/1 ga kit.

Also, when working with the remote wire, can you slice a second wire on to the main wire to power the second amp or is this too much for the headunit? If so, do you just add in a relay? What kind and where can you get them from? Sorry about the questions, I just want to make sure I have everything in order before hooking everything up. I do not want to ruin my equipment.
