question about cvx's

so can someone recommend a good amp/amount of power for two 12" cvx's?

i know they're rated at 750 rms but arent they camparable to the L7's and can't those handle a good deal more power than their 750 rms rating?

i was thinking of feeding them 800rms each, but if i can, i would like to give them 1000 each as long as they won't blow up or anything....and yes, i know blowing up is a bit of an exxageration, lol...

what would a safe range be for them?

im thinking maybe a hifonics bx1205d for them....if i wire them to 2 ohms, i can give them 900 rms or if they will be ok, i can wire them to 1 ohm and send them 1200 rms, but i think i would be afraid to do that without knowing if they could take it

sound good?

(they will be going in a sealed box, i can't remember the size offhand, prolly around 1 cube each...i'll look tomorrow when im completely awake, lol)

If that HiFonics stays true to source it isn't going to give you 1200 watts even at a 1 Ohm load. Between a kilowatt and 1100 watts at best. (bearing in mind that the majority of HiFonics' amps are slightly overrated...)

Having said that - run it at 1 Ohm and give those CVXs the 500+ watts each the amp will feed 'em and call it a day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
