Question about crossovers with 4 inputs

I'm thinking about adding a 3" or 4.5" midrange to my door, and was wondering if the 4th input on my crossover could be used to hook this up? I dont know what its for. There is one for the Input, Woofer, Tweeter, and an extra one that is not being used. Is that what its for? To add a 3rd speaker?

No, that's not what it's for. The instruction manual will tell you what it's for. Most likely its for different tweeter levels.
