question about crossover point for active tweeter set up

I'm running a premier 860 and last week finally crossover and I'm running active now. what's a good starting and ending point for alpine type r tweeters. their being fed 40 watts rms. I've been playing with the adjustment but don't really know what's a good x over point for them and don't wanna blow them.
