question about cerwin vega strokers

i think im getting a pair of the the sundown nightshade 12's after reading some good things about them on this site and other places

if i can find the right box for them that fits my car

does anyone know the amount of cubic air space i would need for a sealed box?

ill probably get a zx2500.1 kicker amp with it

U DONT WANT NIGHTSHADES SEALED lol they are SPL subs and only 1 will fit in ur car they need about 3 cubes each. so only 1 will fit, i would do 4 of their 8s on a saz1500. ull be happy with those

ya ur best bet is to get something thatll work in that airspace, try some fi ssd's. or alpine type r's. my boy has 2 alpine type-rs doing 142 on 1000 watts and a prefab. and if u want to get all NEW equipment ur going to over spend on the product and shit
you sure got alot of boys.... ghey? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Are you only interested in being loud or do you want something with good sound quality? What, if any, equipment do you already have? If the $2000 has to buy a head unit, component speakers, subs, amps, wiring, and deadening, you're options start to get a bit limited. You can still do a lot with two grand, but you have to do a little more bargain shopping.

There is a lot more to a system than subs and an amp. If you get too big of a substage, you won't be able to hear the music, and you'll have to buy a whole new front stage anyway. Best to think about that now before you spend all your money on the loudest subs you can squeeze in.

Also, with such limited space, I'd suggest just getting one really good sub. That way, you don't have to work so hard to squeeze it in, and more money can be spent on other components of the system. One good sub should get more than loud enough to fill a camaro.

im interested in both

the 2000 is just for the system

i have a headunit installed and some alpine components with one of those pdx amps

i have money set aside to do that big three upgrade if i really need to do it and buy an audio battery also

i was going to try and meet up with sundowns this weekend to buy a box from him but my workplace is forcing me to work this weekend

ill hopefully be able to meet up with him next week to buy a box and sub from him that he recommended to me

im glad i found this site before i bought anything or i would of just wasted 2 gs on a dissapointment

you really need to do big 3 upgrade with even a med sized setup.

Even with 2-500 in batteries your only gonna be able to run 1500=2200rms on a stock alt.

YOur loudest options with the space you have is a single 12 or 15" ported on 1500 watts.

Check out Ficaraudio.com

http://mach5audio.com/index-2.html

and definitly http://www.audioque.com/aq/order.htm

AQ makes a 2200 watt amp for $389 that does rated power and some on good electrical.

their 1200 is like $250 and would power any of the SSD or Q series from Fi.

You might as well spend as little as possible on amps and subs to get plenty loud and then make sure you have propper electrical and sound dampening everywhere. that is gonna create a system that you want to hear all the time, 3k on 2 15" is not musical per se, Its nice to have that amazing transient response and incredible dynamics when you are listenign to music. If you just want o bump rap I will recomend Kicker L7 12" or 15" ported on 1500rms.

For thumping system with mid SQ and plenty SPL you could do 2 Kicker L7 10" sealed in .75 each, with about 1k per woofer that setup plays music well and gets plenty loud when you need it to, without taking up much space.

just my opinions....

ive done some reading about those new stereo integrity mags and was pretty interested in getting two twelves or one 15

but i cant seem to find out when they are going to be released or where i can even get them at

You can only get them in a 12". They should be out by the end of the summer, but no release date has been given. SI has told us that the Mag is in production though, so it shouldn't be too much longer.

You have to order them directly from SI.

**** i dont wanna wait that longcan i still get the current model mags ordered directly from them?

and where can i get them at
they no longer have the current gan mags. However, a lot of Mags are going through the classifieds right now at really good prices. Might want to look in there. It shouldn't be TOO long of a wait for the new Mags though.

I know Low-hz.com used to sell the old mags as well, but I doubt they have them anymore. The old ones were like $450 brand new though.
