question about box for orion hp2 10"

i have the 10 inch orion hp2 dual 2 ohm and i was told i needed to make a box with these dimensions.

the sub is going in the back of my extended cab ranger and my goal was to only use one side of the cab, so i could still use the other seat, so i cant have a box this massive... if i cut the dimensions will sq get ruined, or is there anyway i can build higher rather than fatter, so i can fit it?
