Question about Boots.....

my dads worked in a steel shop for 30+ years, he honestly says that wal mart shit honestly is the best option, they last about the same as $100-150 boots he used to get, then again he goes through a pair every like year or 2 because they wear baseball sized holes in em..

I am in the military and wear steel toes every single day and by far the best boot is the Belleville 330 st. Its as comfortable as a tennis shoe. I wear the navy aviation ones on the bottom right of the link here.

Belleville's are nice, I wear "Corcoran" ... They've held up for about a year and a half so far... the only thing is the cup where your heel goes into, its kind of worn so the plastic is showing, but it doesn't bother me at all. I would suggest getting something the military uses, sure you can go with wallmart brand stuff, but if you drop a 50-100lb piece of machinery do you want to risk losing a toe? Plus if its rough on your foot (pussy) you can just get inserts like the women do.

yea i think im done with buying wolverines. i work in a pipe fabrication shop and do alot of cutting with a torch and grinding so they get alot of wear but a pair of 150$ boots should last longer than 6-9 months.

redwings are next for me
