Question about Boots.....

So I just got a new job that requires steel toed boots, I have never been the type to wear working boots of any sort just dressier things. I was wondering if you guys could tell me what you wear or some better name brands rather than me just looking I want to hear what you actually have to say.....I'm not looking to break my bank account and would like to stay under $100 bucks, im assuming that will get me a decent pair.....mainly looking for them to be somewhat lightweight as I will be moving non-stop and something comfortable and built well of course. Any help is appreciated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Wolverine is fairly good, but don't go by brand. Go to the store and try some on and feel what is most comfortable. With boots, that is what matters most. If a $40 pair is most comfortable to you, then get them, but don't expect them to last as long a name brand pair, but that is made up in the pricing.

Yea I dont want anything to fall apart on me, i'd rather spend more becuase it will be worth it in the long run....only intend on buying this one pair. I have had Timberland's before but not in a work boot....im probabaly gonna go shop today and get a pair just wanted some ideas of what I may like...Thanks keep em comin guys.

redwings, they are gonna be more than 100 bucks but last a damn long time

redwings are some of the most comfortable boots out there. if you want a steel toed boots you better be prepared to spend more than $100 if you want them to be comfortable.

i've got http://www.redwingshoes.com/productdetails.aspx?prodid=1196

and love them. you can step on small rocks/stones and not even feel them. out the door they were around $230 but worth every penny.

I hvae Irish Setters. I have had this pair for 3 years, the pair before for 2 years. Great boots IMHO. Owned by Redwing IIRC.

Buy Expensive boots. So worth it. I paid $200 for my pair but the last forever like said.

From my 10 years experience - Wolverines are most comfortable, Red Wings last longer, but will hurt bad in the first month, Dr. Martens are in between, and last of all stay away from cheap boots aka wal-mart.
