question about blown amp

Hi. First let me say I dont know much about amps and car stereos, but I had someone install a while back my stereo ,amp,sub etc (MARV U OUT THERE?)....Can an amp still be working but have part blown (the sub doesnt work anymore but the others speakers do)???Thanks a mill

oh ya forgot to say Checked all the fuses R fine. Amp lights up and turns on,but no sub. Checked all connections at the amp and at the sub.

ifn the amps not blown then i would say its a loose wire somewhere, because the same thing happened to me

my loose wire happened to be the remote wire behind my cd player because i was in a hurry when i installed it lol oops //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif

But, the amp turns on fine... Is this a multi-channel amp, that some of the channels work and not the sub channel??

but now my pos vr3 amp is always on protection mode i guess you could say?
