Question about bass level/gain....?

Is the bass level controller on the HU or the amplifier?

Without knowing the amp, I can't say for sure. But most of the time if it's not a bass boost control, then it's simply an attenuation controller, in which case you would be fine in playing with it. If this is indeed the case, then all the knob can do is turn the output down, but it can not increase beyond the level determined by the gain setting.

But verify this via the owner's manual or website.
