Question about another forum

So I found an Orion HCCA 2100 on craigslist for a couple hundred bux. I am not real familiar with the amp so I decided to do quick search. I ran across this thread via a google search.

It would appear the guy is telling the other guy to fuse his speaker wires. Is this normal operation? I have never heard of this before.

Also,

Would this be a good price for the orion amp? What are your opinions on this amp?
