Does this mean that if im running a single sub i can still turn up the gain to reach up to 700 watts at 4 ohms?

or does it mean that at 14.8 vdc thats what the power would be?

4 ohms the most you can get is 350rms and 700 max. Period.

350 watts at 4 ohm

600 watts at 2 ohm

I dont think you are understanding my concern or my question for that matter...

I know that its running 350 at 4ohms, but in the manual it states 350/ 700 @ 4ohms.

What im trying to determine is when does the amp reach 700 watts. In reality, any speaker resistance fluctuates as its functioning, it can go from 4 ohms- 20 ohms for that matter. In any case im assuming that during small periods of bass it can get up to 700 watts as a max for that impedance.

a common test is "maximum sine wave output into a resistive load".

this provides an easier way to sort out what is distortion, and where it probably came from.

but this requires the power to change as the sine wave changes.

so on average you get 350W to the speaker, with the peak output being 700W. attempting to increase output may be possible, but would more significantly increase distortion.

That peak power is the crest of the sine wave and has no real applicability.

buy a DMM and print the gain seting tutorial and follow it step by step.
