question about alpine

alright well i just got the alpine 9831 body. no FACE plate but i got all the wiring and all could i try to hook up my Face from my 9815? or do i have to wait for ebay to get the 9831??? THANKS I hooked up power to it and the cd runs so i know it works

my old 9813 faceplate works on my 9855 deck, kinda weird but it does.
