Question about Alpine CDA-9886 Auxillary Input

Hi Caraudio, I need your help.

I ordered a connector on ebay that allows AUX IN put using the Ai-NET Connector on the back of the unit. I tried to use this but no luck. As I read the manual, it looks like the only way to do Audio In is to disconnect the iPod adapter. Could anyone with this Deck please confirm this?

Thanks,

Rob

Yes, I turned it on and the option shows up when cycling through the sources. I'm wondering if I bought a bogus adapter because the user manual for this deck only shows a changer or other AI-NET device connected. Auxiliary input is only mentioned using a cable that connects where the iPod cable connects, of course you can only use one at a time with that configuration.
