question about a ticket i got

that's a good question. about two years ago i was driving home from work one day, and i ran a red light in my car, but the car is titled AND insured in my dads name. i did NOT get pulled over for it. about two weeks later, i got an envelope in the mail addressed to ME giving me a warning for running the light //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
a. how did they know it was me driving, and not my dad

b. why didn't i get a ticket? and just a warning?

a)the person on the registration is the person that comes up when it's ran.

ok. i thought i explained it good but apparently not...

i was driving a car, which is titled/registered/insured in MY DADS NAME. a camera at the red light caught me running the light, and sent me a letter in the mail WARNING me about having to drive more safe because i ran a redlight at the intersection of 14 mile and Telegraph road.

the letter was addressed to me, Jason. But everything about the car is in my dads name, erik.

and i didn't get a ticket, i just got a warning.

Dude, he didn't get a ticket. Hs stated clearly 2 times that he got a warning letter, not a citation. And how the hell can a camera above you see if it was his dad or him driving, let alone know what the fukc him or his dad looks like...it can't.

That's weird as hell man. Are you an insured driver on the vehicle? Is it possible they got a clear picture of the driver and checked as to who is insured under the vehicle? But why the warning...

Running red lights is like rolling the dice around here, I have seen many a person killed on certain intersections and speeding doesnt help out either. In time you will see that speeding might take off a few mins. of travel time and really isnt worth the fines. I know that my mini is insured under my dads name, and the title is in his name, but the insurance comp still rates me on it anyways...assholes....lol
