question about a ticket i got

I got stopped last night for speeding, although he didn't cite me for speeding, he said its on my record (or in the computer) so next time I get stopped, the cop will be able to see that I was originally stopped for speeding...is that true? Or can they not put anything in unless they actually cite me? What he did cite me for, though, was for not having the correct address on my liscence, which is a non moving violation, so its not points on my lisc. but if I change it within 30 days, its only $7.50 lol...

Btw, it was my dads firefighter plate and stickers on the windows that saved me:-D

Warning are put in the computer so that when you get pulled over next time they will not warn you again...Just write you a ticket!! Slow Down Bro!! Speed Killz!

i think it depends. because lots of times you can just get pulled over plenty of times and they tell you you are gettin a warning and so and so will see it. but its nothin. they try and scare you with those written warning... but those also are nothin. just tactics to try and keep you in line.

but it doesnt count agasint you to have your plates ran. some people get thier plates ran just because they have wierd combinations of letters and numbers. i konw a lady who has been pulled over tons of times while they are running her plates because they think they are fake.

does it really matter? you're going to keep speeding either way, whether or not the warning IS in the computer. so just keep on speeding, and if you get a ticket, ask the guy "did anything come up when you ran my plates?" and he'll say yes or no. then give us an official answer lol

How does one tie your plate to the driver. For example technically my dad owns my truck. If my tags are run through the computer will his information or mine show up.

true it doesn't count against you when they're ran, just letting original poster know if it is in the computer or not.

that's a good question. about two years ago i was driving home from work one day, and i ran a red light in my car, but the car is titled AND insured in my dads name. i did NOT get pulled over for it. about two weeks later, i got an envelope in the mail addressed to ME giving me a warning for running the light //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

a. how did they know it was me driving, and not my dad

b. why didn't i get a ticket? and just a warning?

there is no way to tell if he put it on the computer or not. he verywell may have written a memo about it on the computer or he may have just put nothing down. so be thankfull and hopefully you wount be stopped again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
