Question about a Pg Xenon 600.1

i bought this amp to power my sub, the sub is rated at 500w rms. the sub is not really hitting to hard, maybe i was expecting too much, but here is my question. on the amp the speaker terminals are like this + - + -, it says they are wired in parallel, so i wired it like this - +, the middle terminals, did i wire this wrong. if this is not the case what else could be wrong, the sub is a treo ss in a 2.1 Ft^3 enclosure. would aiming the sub differently effect its loudness. thanx

Wait...so you only wired the middle terminals to the amplifier ?
If I've read it right he only wired the middle terminals ON the amplifier. I don't know if the Treo SS is a DVC sub or not....he's got a monoblock with two sets of outputs (wired parallel internally) and he used the (+) from one and the (-) from the other.

so by wiring it the way i did, what effects is this having on the amp. am i halving my total output. or is this ok. i thought the - speaker terminals in amps were wired together anyways because it is the ground. i do have dvc sub. it is d2 and i wired it to 4ohms.

Using the two inside terminals means that you were probably only getting half the power from that amp. If you are confused about all this, then I suggest you try reading the manual, and if you dont have that, then go to pgs website //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

Yes you did!

Do as prowler said.
Prowler didn't SAY to do anything. I was just making an observation that I think the Squeakinator misread what was originally posted.
I've never owned a monoblock with double output terminals. If they are wired parallel internally, however (both positives connected together and the same for the negatives) I cannot see where failing to use one set or the other would really make a difference seeing as the signal is coming from the same place inside the unit going to the matched pair of outputs.

Again - I have never owned a monoblock configured that way so it is very possible I am completely off base here. My suggestion would be to read the manual if ya got it or goto PG's site and have a look at it there to see what the folks that made it have to say about it.

i have read the manual and it doesnt say anything abou this really, all it says is is that there are two sets of terminals and they are wired in parallel, maybe i will call and see what they say.

Sorry for some reason I kept on thinking you were talking about the 2 channel xenon. Maybe you were expecting to much from it. What kind of car is this in?
