Okay guys I have a question for you.

I had my system installed by an installer and my setup is as follows

HU: Z1

Front : Rainbow SLC

REAR: Rainbow SL

Sub: Rainbow Hammer 12"

Speaker amp :Arc Kar 400.4

Sub amp DA D3400.2

My fronts are suposed to be bridged and recieve 200 watts each and the rears are supposed to be running off the HU.

Ok well I recently started getting some rediculous noise coming through my speakers (see my thread in wiring and installation) so I started testing by unplugging cables etc...

What I realized is that my rear speakers are connected to the speaker terminals on my Arc amp, and so are the RCAs for the rear speakers. Now I have no clue about car audio that is why I had it installed professionally. I have no idea about this bridged stuff; but why are the rear speakers connected to the Arc amp if they are supposed to be running of the amplifier in the Head Unit? Does this mean that my setup is not in fact bridged? Or is it still possible to be bridged and have the rears run off the amp in the HU and still be connected to the arc amp? I am very confused as to what happened here. I would appreciate your input. Thanks.

Sounds like they did not bridge the amp, nor wire the rear speakers to your HU. They wired all speakers stereo, front and back off the 400.4. Take it back, if thats not what you paid for..

How do you like your setup? What are you running to the front and rear rainbows? I will have the SLC 265's in the front and SL 165 rear off of a JL 300/4 amp (nothing installed yet). How does the sub sound--I may be getting a 12in rainbow profi vandi for my setup
