question about a 12 inch re xxx

I was wondering if the 12 inch xxx would take a audiopipe 3000 in a sealed box, I know nobody likes sealed boxes on here and everybody is going to say go ported, but i cant, i have to conserve as much space as possible becuase i have to put my daughters stroller in my trunk somtimes and its a huge SOB . I can get dealer cost on the audiopipe thats why im asking.

The XXX subs require massive sealed enclosures in order to perform to their full capabilities. RE's recommended air space for these subs is WAY off.

If space is of extreme importance to you, look elsewhere...

how big of an enclosure are you talking about, becuse re says around 1.1 after displacment for a 12

1.1 after displacement. HA! Around 6 cubes is more like it. This is coming from someone who's lusted over these subs for years. I'd still love to have a pair of them, but they simply will not fit in my vehicle...

I know. I was dead set on a pair of 18"s until a very intelligent person told me not to bother.

I'll still do an 18" XXX at some point, just not in my Dakota...

The newer XXX is actually better suited for sealed than ported. But yes, the recommended enclosure sizes are too small. Pop their t/s specs into WinISD to get an idea what we mean.
