ques about solder for power/ground cable

Hey guys,

I wanted to solder my terminal to the power and ground cable (0 ga) and my uncle gave me this resin flux cored solder. I usually use the rosin core solder when soldering but thats for smaller wires. Would the resin flux cored solder be ok to solder the terminals to the cables?

heres what it says on the label:

Non.CI. Non.BR. Resin Flux Cored Solder

X-2100S RMA

Super Flow

Tech Sol. Solder

as long as its not organic or "water" core solder, its fine. Organic core solder has to be washed or the flux corrodes the terminal or wire being soldered and since you can't wash the flux out of an insulated wire that is why they use rosin core solder for wires or cableing..

Just a fun fact. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
