I have a quantum 15" in my room that claims 1000 watts. when I got ahold of it the cone had seperated from the former... we went to wall socket it and it died in about 1/4 of a second...

For referance, my Infinity Kappa perfects that are rated at 350W RMS took a 140V wall socket for well over 10 seconds...

IMHO Quantum = trash

there you have it folks, sprinke the SPL dust on them first - or they dont even last a second.
