So, I got a little ahead of myself while installing my shiny new 3500d and my dumb *** left the fuses in the power runs to the back batteries while connecting. Grounds were already secured to the amp, but while trying to reposition myself I dropped one of the power wires on the set screw that holds one of the grounds and got a nice ZAP!

Finished all the connections to see if I had done any damage and it powers up...no protect, but the output just sounds like static. I threw my old amp in there to rule out any other element of the install an it works fine, so pretty sure I effed my new amp.

My question....I already filled out an RMA request on sq.com and am planning to ship it out today, but am wondering if that's the best course of action. Is there anything else I can do to see if I did in fact damage it? If it is damaged, is sending to SQ for repair my best bet?

TIA for any input....sooooo bummed right now.

Open it up and look inside of it..... that is one way you can tell. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Don't open it up if you bought it brand new and its still in the warranty period. Even though it wasn't a manufacturers defect, you could still get lucky. But breaking that seal will definitely void all chances of a warranty fix.
