Q logic kick panel in 09 silverado: park brake petal will hit my 6.5 focal if pushed

I installed Q logic kick panels in my 09 chevy Silverado. They house 6.5 focal components, the models with the tweet on bottom. They look and fit great except for the park brake petal will not clear the 6.5. I dented the grill b4 I realized the clearance issue. A while ago I found a discussion online talking about a kit to move the petal over a tad but I cannot find it again. Bending the petal arm over was mentioned too but that seemed like it was gonna mangle the arm.

Any ideas??

No emergencys no. 22 ft ski boat on a steep launch ramp unloading into water. Set park brake for a few reasons,1: take the load off the transmission parking pawl, 2: safety parking steep inclines"drive trains do fail",3:because GM put it there for a reason. You ever shifted to drive from park with a heavy load or no load with an AT? POP! When u shift.

Very small grill dent, no biggie. mainly habit to set it just forgot about the clearance issue I noticed when I installed them. I'm more interested in having it if I do need it. Asked for advice and if anyone remembered the thread or forum where I saw the info.didnt post to have to explain why I want it functional. Thanks so much for your concern and informing me I have an automatic.

Thanks for the information. I haven't opened the link yet and I'm guessing it's the one that discusses bending the petal arm. It would take quite a bit. I started tweaking sideways on it months back and it wasn't looking good for the steal. Thanks all the same.

They sound great! Not just because they are focal the imaging and throw is way better than I expected. Well worth it. Thanks for not trolling the new guy

I was wrong! That is a good idea I'm gonna do something similar and hopefully cleaner.Thank a lot!
I'm gonna order the qlogics also and do the same thing. I have the focal poly glasses in my doors all deadened and sealed and while they sound great I feel like they could do a lot better and I think it is because the tweeter is so far away from the woofer.

My thoughts exactly, I have some upper end pioneers component in my doors with the tweeter in the A pillar. The factory location. I have another set of the poly glass components new in the box to replace the pioneer TS series. I just didn't want to put the tweet back up there in the OEM location. The pioneer tweet is harsh I Dnt know if I can get away with putting the focal tweet in the A pillar. Ide like to install it closer to the woofer but since I already have the kicks and the tweet is much better quality I may just go back with factory location. Along with the kick panels of course. Any suggestions? 2 component sets up front sound amazing. I believe two sets of focal components up front would be even better. I too deadened my doors when the pioneers got put in. I just brad to seal the gap with a foam ring before I put the poly glass in.
