Q about wiring a 4 channel to comps..

Hey all,

So I am waiting for my MB Quart DSC 450 to arrive to wire it to my new ID CTX65cs comps. The comps say they handle 100 rms at 4 ohms and the box says anything over 150 is pushing it. The MBQ amp when bridged puts out 200rms x 2 at 4 ohms (or its puts out 50 x 4 at 4 ohms or 100 x 4 at 2 ohms). Is there any way to make sure the amp doesn't blow the speaker set? Can I bridge the connections and then split one of the lines somehow so that each gets 100rms? Kinda new to this so sorry if the question doesn't make sense. Also, I already wired the comps and ran 12 gauge from the doors to the trunk. I have also done a run of 1/0 hyperflex from the battery to the trunk and I plan on installing a PG tantum 1200.1 off a distributor block when i get some more money to buy a sub and box.

Best,

WJW

I would run them in bridged mode, just keep your gains (called input level on the MB) down. For example if your hu rcas voltage is 4 volts keep it closer to 6 volts.
