Pyle PLSQ12D info

I took on hour off for the sub and basically that hour was cleaning up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I had two Pyle's in a box in one of my work vans once. I made a box with the subs in sperate sealed enclosure firing into a single dual port enclosure. For subs that cost $20 and in a work van, the thing sounded pretty good lol.

This one is probably going in my Jeep or getting sold. I do not want too big of a box in there so I may just up selling it as I use the jeep as a truck for my tools.

If I knew Pyle was still in business I would have looked on their website. I got the website up right now so I will just check there since nothing useful here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I thought Forums like this where around for people to help other people. I realize Pyle is just that, a pile but common, its for my jeep.

My car has a/d/s/, sundown and Pioneer if that helps any (heck I even had a McIntosh HU once and kick myself for selling it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif )

Well, Pyle subs..generally everyone is going to say that they "****" or "should be lit on fire" and such.

But here a while back, I sat in a persons vehicle. They played a few tracks for me, and I was amazed at the SQ and how well it blended together. Sounded dam n good. Then when I saw Sony Xplod 12's in the trunk in a custom sealed enclosure I was kinda like.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

My father here a while back...probably 3-4 years ago, had a Pyle 10" Subwoofer in the garage. Pardon me as I don't remember what model, but I threw it in a 1.25 cube box tuned around 36 and surprisingly it sounded good. Didn't have a TON of output but for a Pyle 10" and 250 watts it impressed me.

IMHO, any sub can sound good. Just depends on the enclosure and install... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

They model ok in 2 or 3 cf sealed (with what little t/s data pyle offers).

Vented they'd need to have at least 3cf after port/woofer displacement to get anything more than a one note wonder.

They have a 3" VC so they should be able to take SOME power. 500ish rms??

Thanks Wild and n2. I have never owned anything larger then a 10" woofer. I have built boxes for 12's and 15's and kinda figured this thing would need a box larger then I want to put in my Jeep. I also do not really want to get another amp as money is tight. Plus I have a Wally world special for an HU in the Jeep with only 1v lineouts lmao. I wonder if I could power this thing with the HU //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif joking of course.

Well, I will have to see if I can make a 3^ft box and still load in my chop saw, table saw, portable compressor......
