You can set it up so that the center channel plays with the rest of the speakers, not just as a discrete channel for 5.1.

It's in the settings. Do you have your manual? The UI on the H701 is pretty simple, really. What are you controlling it with?

I am not in my truck right now, nor do I have access to my manual (I'm at work), otherwise I could walk you through it step by step.

IIRC, there is a setting you can change from 2-channel stereo to 3-channel stereo.
