Pvc pipe port in a small box

Now I just gotta learn Winisd... I've got the tutorial but am having all sorts of problems entering parameters and when It finally does take them I get more errors trying to open a project... Oh well, I guess I'm going to get it eventually... Thanks for weighing in!... I'll get it eventually... I built boxes for years and used the manufacturers listed box specs... I've seen firsthand what designing with Winisd can accomplish and I'm crazy to learn it. Darn, I just learned Torres and was hoping that in used in conjunction with Triticum's port calculator I'd be golden... Guess not... Winisd it is!
hit tab on the keyboard a lot, you dont enter in all three QTS, QMS and QES you need to go with that the parameter auto calculates. Basically right after you enter in a number, hit tab and only fill in what is empty afterwards and then hit tab again. You dont have to fill in everything. All you really need is QTS, QMS, QES and VAS. You got errors because you never entered in one right.

yeah that triticum port cal is trash lol.

Also when you are in winisd you need to plug in input power which is guestimated clamped power after rise, not what the sticker on your amp says. so your cab 1600s would be more likely 600-800 per amp after rise.

No, I get that, but if I calculate it would it matter if I ran 2 ports? What about 3 or 4? I just wasn't sure if multiple shorter ports were possible instead of 1 longer one.
i showed u pic of bent ports, in fact if u ever heard a bose wave home radio they have a tiny 26ft long port wrapped around like human intestines inside that small box they how they sound that good.. i also told u the more ports u have the longer they have to be USE 1 PORT!!!!!!!

its a 1/4 wave transmission line box. nothing new.

More port = more port area = longer to get the same tuning. You dont increase port area for no reason, however you do need a minimum amount of port area to avoid compression. You should learn torres box calc and winisd as well old timer. So you can understand how boxes work a little more rather than half assed knowledge lol

That's extremely helpful... thanks!.. I was reentering the auto calculated values with the manufacturers given ones and it did NOT like that!.. Box rise DOES need to be accounted for... of course... I'll remember that from now on and is that port calculator that bad?.. I started using it as the comments on it pretty much look positive but the power/port area would be unrealistic unless you account for box rise anyways... I see... I've got a little data entry to do now... not as much as I was doing before thankfully... Thank you for taking the time to address this as I WAS really frustrated... I guess let the program do it's thing and just tab thru the parameters... I love it...LOL!

i didn't say it was new was showing op that ports can be bent and i said same thing u just did less ports are shorter than more ports so how is it wrong when i say it?
