Putting Movies On DVD

What program do you use to put video files from your computer to be able to watch them on a standard DVD Player??? I have alot of .avi files and everytime I use Nero to do it..They are always to big to fit on the disc? Is there a compressor or something?? Thanx

what version of nero are you using ?

I use Nero 7 with Nero Vision and I burn movies all the time with it.

the only think I dislike about it is that ripped dvd's with subtitles have no support with Nero 7...but meh, thats nitpicking.

I agree, ive tryed alot of programs and ConvertXtoDVD works the best for me
